Tea at a Marrakech Riad

18 January 2011 We are about to enjoy a cup of mint tea at our Riad. The drinking of mint tea in Morocco is more than just consuming a refreshing drink, it is a custom and ritual. Everywhere you go, you can smell the delicious aroma of mint. As a visitor, you are offered mint tea everywhere, in shops, the Souks, in cafes and restaurants. The tea is poured from a great height to produce a foamy top which is meant to represent the turban of a Sheik.
