Shoofshowen Panorama

Panorama of Shoofshowen, Morocco, the most beautiful town in all of Morocco, painted blue by the Jews who formerly lived there. When the Spanish ruled, by way of apology they built a mosque on the hill. But the residents of Showen were too angry with the Spanish to use it, so they called it the "Christian Mosque". For a century it's been a tourist destination, a beautiful crumbling ruins. Now some fool decided to destroy the entire thing, except for a sliver of the minaret, and rebuild it using modern cement and ugly tiling.
