Ourzazate, Morocco Has Kasbahs and Movie Studios

Ouarzazate is known as the "Hollywood of Morocco" because of its fantastic desert landscapes, Kasbahs and location just south of the High Atlas Mountains. It's easy to use Ourzazate as a jump-off point for trips into the desert since there is an ample supply of hotels and restaurants. We passed a secluded (and exclusive) enclave just outside of town where movie stars stay while filming. Think, Brad and Angelina filming "Babel"....
