our annual trip for my birthday took us to Israel /palestine to see what all the fuss was about
This year we took Wayne who has worked for me for over ten years but never left the country ,sat on an airplane, driven on the other side of the road or eaten anything other then roast dinners .kebab but his main meal of the day is always cheese on toast , He didn't know what hit him,we made him drive the whole time just because he needed the practise and it was hilarious to watch him pull out on to the wrong side of the road on nearly every junction and eventually after starving for a few days gave in and tried everything and loved the whole trip ,it was a joy to watch the transition from total ignorance to total immersion into another culture .None of us caught the religion bug that seemed to be going around the country as it all seemed a bit silly and ultimately self destructive so we left them to it and remained largely unaffiliated .Hell of a place and a great trip all round
