Marathon Des Sables 2011.mov

The Marathon Des Sables is a 150 mile, six stage "gut check" through the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Every day brings some measure of pain. And if the pain of destroyed feet and damaged joints don't get you--the weather will. During the grueling marathon stage of the 2011 MDS, the temperature reached 120 degrees. This story chronicles my run and how my tent mates pulled together to survive the 26th Marathon Des Sables.
