Djemma el Fna Market Square in Marrakech
The UNESCO world heritage site of Djemma el Fna. A market square that is the crosscroads of Arab, African and European cultures and influences. By day the square if filled with snake charmers, henna tattoo women, quack dentists, orange juice and dried figs and dates vendors, and in the course of the day when dusk beckons, storytellers in Berber folklores, street entertainers, acrobat shows, dance to the tune of the drum beating of musicians. The whole square is transformed into a huge feast with all the food stalls erected serving traditional Moroccan cuisine. A must experience market square!
