Call to Prayer (the Adnan) – Morocco

The muezzin is calling live, as opposed to using a recording, so the Tajwīd (pacing, intonation, and pronunciation) is unique and beautiful. Here is a transliteration of the Arabic: Allahu Akbar Ash had a lla ilaha illa llah Ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasululla hayya ala salaah Hayya ala l-falah Allahu Akbar La ilaha illallah And here is a translation into English: God is the greatest I bear witness that there is no God except the One God I bear witness that Muhammad is God's messenger Come to prayer Come to success (for the 1st prayer of the day this is added: Prayer is better than sleep) God is the greatest There is no God except the one God.
